TV watching has won a reprieve from me, I knew I would find a purpose for it in the end.
As I worked my way through the copious amount of programmes I had taped to watch at a later date (some just because I can) I came across a programme that really inspired me. Well not the programme itself just some of the words spoken in it. And the great thing about taped programming is that you can always rewind it and access the points you want to focus on.
It certainly stopped me in my tracks and made me think. In fact I think it was exactly what I needed to hear. Have you ever been to a place/event where when the speaker starts to speak you wonder if they were psychic and how they could possibly know that you had ever asked that question.
Well this was one of those moments and I have decided to print out those words boldly and put them above my desk as a daily reminder to myself of the fact that I will not die an unlived life.
The words are courtesy of Dawna Markova, Author of Open Mind.
“I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire. I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible, to loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch, a promise. I choose to risk my significance; to live so that which comes to me as seed goes to the next as blossom and that which comes to me as blossom, goes on as fruit.”
Do any of these words resonate with you?
