The Big Question!

changeIf you don’t like something change it; if you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.
Mary Engelbreit

There is a saying that when life throws you lemons you should make lemonade, but it’s not always as simple as that. When life throws yet another curve ball and things change beyond recognition how do you make the adjustment?

Good question. But in order to find an answer you have to at first acknowledge that there is a problem and some changes are simply beyond your control so the focus has to be on what you can do.

A blank canvas moment

Think of the moment of realisation that there is very little that you can do about the circumstablank-canvasnces as an opportunity for a new beginning. The one thing you always have control over is you and how you respond/react to things that are happening around you.

Think of yourself as an artist and you have been presented with a beautiful blank canvas where you get to choose not only the colour but also the images that are presented. In fact you can be as creative as you choose to be.

It is a wonderful opportunity to reinvent yourself, to choose who you want to be in spite of or simply because of what is happening in your world.

The only question that remains is how exactly are you going to decorate your canvas?
